Calligraphy silk ribbons and Linen backdrop

It's always exciting to receive photos back from a CL bride's wedding day and this collection from Texas just made me melt!

A few months ago, a bride approached me with the idea of creating calligraphy silk ribbons and a large linen backdrop for her wedding day. She wanted to have personal touches throughout the ceremony while adding textural elements with different types of fabric. We worked with beautiful pink & neutral ribbons for the bouquets and a clean white linen for her reception backdrop.

For her bridal party, the bride wanted to gift them something special so we wrote each of their names on silk ribbons and hung it with their day-of ensembles. She also wanted to incorporate some of her favorite bible verses so we had a different verse written on the bouquet ribbon for each of the bridesmaids. I loved how thoughtful and personal the bride was and it translated beautifully on her wedding day.

The reception was held in a rustic, indoor barn with lots of wood and rock elements. To soften things up, the bride hung the large linen backdrop above the fireplace by the dance floor. I loved that the bride and groom shared their first dance under the linen backdrop which read the lyrics to the song. We also created matching calligraphy vows for the couple to remember the promises they made on their wedding day.

It was important that these pieces served as keepsakes for after the wedding so we kept it simple. That way, the couple could use them as decoration and repurpose them for their home!

Congrats to the happy couple!
