MODULE 0: INTRODUCTION + THE SFC METHOD
Before we dive into our art lessons, let’s go over your sketching tools and painting supplies!
You don’t have to buy a bunch of tools and try out different brands because I’ve done all that for you! MODULE 1: WATERCOLOR BASICS
Never played with watercolor before? No problem!
In this module, I’ll teach you how to best prep your palette, organize your colors and get you ready for painting. We’ll also go over how to paint skin tone! After painting thousands of people, trust me when I say that I’ve painted all types of skin tones. And now, I’ll teach you how to get every shade right so you feel confident painting people.
MODULE 2: FIGURE DRAWING
The sketch before the painting process can really make or break the final artwork, so let’s make sure we understand the figure.
We’ll cover everything from how to position the figure on our paper, differences between male and female figures as well as the proportions for adults, babies, and kids. We’ll also cover different articles of clothing and how to draw the outfit in a way that looks natural on the form. We’ll go over important details like drawing hands, feet, glasses and beards. This module alone is well worth the investment!
MODULE 3: WATERCOLOR PORTRAIT
Now that we have your sketch down, we’ll move onto my favorite part - adding watercolor!
In this module, we will go over skin tone in-depth and learn to add dimension to the body. We’ll also cover how to paint different types of hairstyles as well as facial hair. Finally, I’ll teach you how to paint different types of clothing, how to add natural folds/creases and add contrast so the painting pops out of the page!

How long does it take for me to paint my first portrait?
This depends on how eager you are to get started, but on average students paint their first portrait within the first 2 weeks of joining! We recommend watching the video lessons once through to soak up all the information. Then grab your art supplies and follow along!
Is this course for beginners or experienced artists?
This course is tailored for students of all levels. We cover sketching and painting basics for beginning artists and the rest of the course is jam-packed with art tips and practices!
Will I be able to ask questions and get feedback on my work?
Absolutely! I (Dianuh) will be providing opportunities for personalized feedback so you know what you're doing right and what you can improve on. We also have a private Facebook page just for our Watercolor Portrait Course students that is monitored by me and my team. There will be a whole community of students of all levels so you can help and support one another!
What if I don't have a Facebook account?
Whether or not you have Facebook, you'll still receive all of the video lessons, handouts and bonus updates. You can also message me (Dianuh) directly inside the course! The Facebook group is there for you if you want community support, but it is not mandatory.
How is it different from your portrait class in Watercolor Bootcamp?
The lesson in Watercolor Bootcamp only covered the basics.
